# 1: Top Ranked Stories

The economy - as Ireland faces potential cuts and England makes its expenses public -  is getting attention again this morning. Rangel and celebrities too are topping today's trends.

Nukes in the news.
A possible Israeli worm programmed to destroy Iranian centrifuges and the heat over the Arms Treaty are driving readers' attention (the Arms Treaty disagreement was a number one 'most read' article in the Washington Post yesterday and is now a number two 'most read' article in the NY Times). But there's much more - let us know if you spot a different trend.

Each morning we attempt to understand what drives people's curiosity and attention. This segment uses the simple metric of 'most viewed articles' - a feature on the home-pages of many newspapers. We examine newspapers from across the English speaking world.

If you have an answer to the questions - what drives people's attention? And - should we be attending to something else? If so - how? - then please comment below.
