# 1: Top Ranked Stories

Celebrity and cinema are the trends of the day, plus Obama's visit to India. For three days in a row Australians remain obsessed with the Monaghan story, but it's the engine failure on Australia's Qantas flight that gets the international attention.

Each morning we attempt to understand what drives people's curiosity and attention. This segment uses the simple metric of 'most viewed articles' - a feature on the home-pages of many newspapers. We examine newspapers from across the English speaking world.
